IELTS SPEAKING PART 1: RELAX [ANSWERS]

PART 1

RELAXATION/RELAX

ANSWERS

What do you do to relax?

(Answer 1)

Well, it depends. If I have ample (enough) time to relax I normally do meditation for 40 minutes or so, or I go running or swimming. However, if I just need to have a quick break from work, I just listen to music or surf the internet (to navigate the internet).

(Answer 2)

Most of the time, I just hang out (to spend a lot of time in a place) at my favorite cafe, sip (drink) some good coffee and listen to music. Or if I don’t feel like going out, I just stay at home, lie in bed, and check my social media profiles.

Do you think doing sports is a good way to relax?

(Answer 1)

It is for some people, but for some, it’s not since doing so makes them feel exhausted (to become very tired). I think everyone has their own ways to relax. Mine is running, swimming, and listening to music as I said earlier.

(Answer 2)

I believe so because your stress or tension (emotional or mental strain) can be relieved since your body becomes active. Well, according to some health articles that I read, playing sports is one of the best and effective forms of relaxation.

Do you think a vacation is a good time for you to relax?

(Answer 1)

Definitely! Who doesn’t consider it the best time to relax? I do think that everyone loves vacations, especially in this generation where a lot of people romanticize (make something more appealing than it really is) overworking. Well, perhaps those kinds of people, might not consider vacations as a great time to relax.

(Answer 2)

Yes! I can’t imagine my life without a vacation.  Well, not just me but I believe everyone shares my opinion. Vacations are a must to make us relaxed, that’s why it’s mandatory (required; compulsory) for every company to provide workers a paid leave of absence so they can have a holiday and recharge their batteries (regain one’s strength and energy).

Do you think students need more relaxing time?

(Answer 1)

Without a doubt (certainly)! Most schools these days require students to do a lot of homework or activities that make them miss doing some things that they are passionate about. Plus there are parents who are pressuring their children to get straight As. I really believe that balance is important so students or children can equally enjoy their time studying and playing.

(Answer 2)

In my opinion, that depends on the school’s system because not all schools are putting stress on their students’ lives like they really need to study hard, otherwise (or else; if not ), they’ll be kicked out (dismiss) if they have failing marks. Some students are just so relaxed with their studies because their school is not pressuring them.
