PART 1
HEALTH
ANSWERS
How do you keep yourself healthy?
(Answer 1)
I make it a habit (to do something regularly) to do some aerobic exercises (cardiovascular exercises; exercises that make your heart pumping) such as walking, running, and cycling twice or thrice a week and I can say that I’m in the best shape right now for doing any of these exercises. Well, I started doing these exercises when I made a decision to lose weight and gradually, I fell in love (developed a deep liking) with these types of exercise.
(Answer 2)
First of all, I exercise. I spend time walking or running twice a week for at least one hour. Then, I eat healthy foods. That is, I make my own food. I rarely eat out, aside from the fact that it’s expensive, food in restaurants isn’t always healthy. And I meditate before I hit the hay (go to bed) so I can make my mind healthy.
What sports help people stay healthy?
(Answer 1)
I believe all types of sports because people have to move their bodies as much as possible. When people play sports, they sweat a lot which means they’re burning body fats which are the main culprit (the cause of the problem) of different diseases and that’s very healthy. It’s no wonder (it’s not surprising) why we can’t see overweight individuals who play sports regularly.
(Answer 2)
Well, running, basketball, swimming, and cycling, to name a few (giving only these as examples, even though more can be cited). These are the very common sports that can surely help people become healthy. Besides (in addition), these sports aren’t difficult to do and because of that, I really think everyone can be healthy if they make some effort to spend time playing any of these sports.
Is it easy for people in your country to exercise?
(Answer 1)
I believe exercising is an easy thing to do. It’s just that some people are just too indolent (lazy) to exercise. They simply don’t care about looking after their health and once they get ill, that’s when they realize that they should’ve taken the time to exercise. So, exercising is easy for those people who prioritize their health, but difficult for those who simply take their health for granted (to not give importance).
(Answer 2)
I’m not sure about this, I guess for some it’s easy but for others, it’s difficult because they’re just busy. They can’t squeeze in (to manage to do something in a short period of time or when one is very busy) exercise in their everyday schedule. Or, even if they have time, they don’t have enough energy to exercise as they’re just physically and mentally exhausted (very tired; worn out) because of work.
Are there health classes in your school?
(Answer 1)
Yes, there are and I believe all schools always have classes that promote health education. I believe that’s always a part of the curriculum (subjects that are studied in school). That’s why there are subjects that make students engage (become involved in) in sports. Classes that focus on improving the students’ health are a must, especially in this generation when children oftentimes get stuck at home playing computer games.
(Answer 2)
Yes, definitely! When I was a primary and secondary school student, I studied sports and health education as these two are parts of the curriculum. So, all students were required to take those subjects. Actually, health education was one of my favorite subjects back then as I got to know the different ways to keep myself fit (healthy).
