PART 1
EBOOKS and PAPER BOOKS
(ANSWERS)
Which do you prefer ebooks or paper books?
(Answer 1)
I prefer the former (first mentioned) because they’re cheaper, way more convenient, and environmentally friendly, unlike traditional books. In fact, I’ve already had plenty of electronic books saved in my Kindle because I enjoy reading them whenever I travel, or when I have some free time.
(Answer 2)
I’m a traditional type of person so I prefer paper books. I enjoy flipping (changing the pages) the pages of a book and the smell of a newly bought book. Besides, I can highlight some valuable lines from a book with a marker so I won’t forget them easily. Also, I can write some special notes on the pages of a book.
When do you usually read online?
(Answer 1)
Obviously when I’m not busy. Most of the time, I read economic news because I want to keep myself updated (to stay informed) with the latest happenings in my country and the world so I can make wise decisions about my investments.
(Answer 2)
I usually read something online when I’m traveling to work because that’s my way of killing time (to spend time doing something while one is waiting). I usually read some news or emails while traveling to work and I feel productive doing that.
Will you read more online articles in the future?
(Answer 1)
Definitely! As I said, I need to make wise decisions about my investments, therefore, I have to read as much as possible. Besides, I love reading as it makes me knowledgeable and helps me widen my vocabulary.
(Answer 2)
Yes, I will, but I think I need to be more cautious (careful) because not all articles online are truthful. Some online articles are written by propagandists (people who promote or publicize a particular cause) to manipulate the minds of people and some are plain fake news. I think I’ll be more critical when reading online articles.
Do you think paper books will disappear in the future?
(Answer 1)
I don’t think so because there will always be people who love paper books. Well, even though I prefer e-books, I don’t want paper books to disappear in the future. It’s still different if one has a bookshelf full of books in the house.
(Answer 2)
I’m not sure but I think there’s a possibility because the internet is taking over the world (conquering the world). Perhaps, 20 years later, there won’t be any paper books. Who knows? We never really know…change is constant anyway.
