PART 1
BREAKFAST
(ANSWERS)
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
(Answer 1)
I normally have a light breakfast as I don’t always have an appetite (hunger) in the morning. I usually have a sandwich or pancakes with coffee or a chocolate drink. But honestly, there are times that I skip breakfast because my stomach can’t take any food in the morning.
(Answer 2)
My usual breakfast includes rice with meat, fish, or eggs. I make sure to have a heavy meal in the morning so I have enough energy to be productive. I notice that I can’t function well if I skip breakfast.
Do you think breakfast is important?
(Answer 1)
Definitely, it’s because that gives us the energy to do things in the morning. Even though I don’t always feel like eating in the morning, I sometimes force myself to eat something so I won’t get headaches. I try to fill my stomach with food so I can do the things that I need to do in the morning without any problem.
(Answer 2)
Absolutely! As I said, I can’t be productive if I miss eating breakfast. So, I have to eat before going to work, or else I can’t work well. Well, there are some people who can survive without eating breakfast and I really wonder how they do that as that won’t work for me.
Are there any differences between the mornings of your childhood and now?
(Answer 1)
Of course! When I was a kid, I did not prepare my breakfast as my mom did all the cooking for me. All I had to do was eat after I took a shower and left for school. However, these days, I have to do all those things as I’m living alone.
(Answer 2)
Without a doubt (certainly; without question), there are a lot of differences. As an adult, I have to wake up at 5 in the morning and prepare my breakfast. Then, I have to wash the dishes after eating since no one else does that. Right after that, I take a shower and head to work (go to work). Obviously, these things are not what I did when I was little.
Would you like to change your morning routine?
(Answer 1)
If I could, I would, but that’s impossible for now since I’m on my own. I have to do things by myself and I have to wake up early because of my work schedule. Perhaps, if I change my career or change my civil status, then I’ll be able to change my morning routine.
(Answer 2)
I don’t think I need to since I’m happy with it. I think my routine is teaching me self-discipline and that makes me mature. I enjoy preparing breakfast for myself and I simply get used to (be accustomed) it.
