PART 1
CHALLENGES
ANSWERS
What subject do you think is the most challenging at school?
(Answer 1)
I find math to be the most challenging subject at school because I’m bad at numbers. My brain can’t figure out mathematical equations easily and those Xs and Ys simply drain my energy (lose all energy and become very tired).
(Answer 2)
Of all the subjects that I studied at school, the Chinese language was the hardest. The pronunciation is confusing and writing Chinese characters is incredibly exhausting. I don’t think I did well in learning Chinese when I was a student.
Do you like to challenge yourself?
(Answer 1)
Yes, I do, because I always want to grow. I believe challenges make me stronger and wiser as those things teach me valuable life lessons. Life without challenges is boring and I don’t want a boring life.
(Answer 2)
Absolutely! I’m a risk-taker person and I enjoy doing things that can make me step out of my comfort zone. Last week, I challenged myself to ride on a roller coaster and do bungee jumping. That was exhilarating (thrilling)!
Do you ask for help when doing something challenging?
(Answer 1)
I sometimes do, especially if I understand that I can’t do it on my own. For example, last month was my mom’s birthday and I was the cook. Since I prepared a lot of dishes, I asked for help from my sisters so I could finish cooking all kinds of dishes before the guests arrived. I ain’t superhuman, I need help when the going gets tougher (when the situation becomes more difficult).
(Answer 2)
Yes, I do because I know my limitations. There are things that I’m not good at that I need assistance or help from people who can do things in behalf of me (in acting as a friend; as helping someone). Well, there’s joy in asking for help.
How do you usually deal with challenges in your life?
(Answer 1)
Aside from asking for help if I really need it, I always remind myself that every challenge that I encounter is temporary. It’ll pass soon and brighter days are waiting to embrace me and reward me for being resolute (determined).
(Answer 2)
I deal with them with confidence. I believe I have a strong character to face every challenge that comes my way but of course, I ask for help if I feel like I can’t do it by myself. I acknowledge my weaknesses and my limitations as that’s the way to overcome (surpass) challenges.
